The MB-450 OS 2 COILED

The MB-450 is a size 1 1/2 trap. This trap has a 5/16" thick smooth off set jaw and features a Paws-I-Trip pan system with a night latched dog, heavy levers, music wire springs, #2 USA made chain, crunch proof swivels and a two piece gusseted frame for strength and reliability. The inside jaw spread is  4 3/8". the outside jaw spread is 5"

The MB-450 CLOSED JAW 2 COILED

The newest member of the Minnesota Brand Trap family. The MB-450-FH is a #1 1/2 size trap but built to hold the meanest, nastiest coyote. Outside jaw spread is 5" and inside jaw spread 4 3/8". The 450 has 5/16 thick, smooth closed cast jaws. Features include a Paws-I-Trip Pan with night latched dog heavy levers, strong music wire springs, #2 American made chain, crunch proof swivels, and a 2 piece gusseted frame for strength and reliability.

 

MB-450-FOX Coil Spring Trap (Cast Jaws)

The MB-450-FOX Cast Jaws Coil Spring Trap has all of the features of the MB-450-FH except lighter .125 diameter American made music wire springs and three crunch proof swivels in the chain instead of two.  This FOX version was built upon request from some of the nations top fox men.

 

The MB-550-RC 2 COILED

Double Coil Spring Cast Offset Jaws Trap is designed for use in taking coyote, bobcat, fox and raccoon.  This trap has an outside jaw spread of 5 1/2" and an inside jaw spread of 4 3/4".  The cast jaw face is 3/8" thick and the offset is 3/16".  This trap has a Paws-I-Trip pan system and a night latched dog.  Pan tension out of the box (un-waxed) runs an average of 2.1 pounds.

This trap is fast and excellent results were obtained using the double coil model during an extensive 3 year testing period on coyote, bobcat, red fox, grey fox and raccoon.  This trap is an excellent live market trap as well as the trap to use on a mixed species line.  It is small enough for fox and tough enough for the nastiest coyote.

 

THE MB-550-RC 4 COILED

The 550-RC has an outside jaw spread of 5 1/2” and an inside jaw spread of 4 3/4”. The cast jaw face is 3/8” thick and the offset is 3/16”. We’ve installed a Paws-I-Trip pan system and stainless steel night latch dog. Pan tension out of the box on the two coiled version runs an average of 2.5 pounds which we have found to be a very good number for a multi species trap. Pan tension on the four coiled model runs an average of 4.1 pounds. Waxing will decrease pan tension by about .3 pounds. This trap is fast and excellent results are obtained using it two coiled. We do not recommend using the 4-coiled version if grey fox is your target animal. The 550 is an excellent live market trap, as well as the trap to use on a mixed specie line. Small enough for fox and tough enough for the nastiest coyote. If you are not planning on 4-coiling your MB-550’s we recommend cutting the excess spring pins off leaving 1/2” protruding from the frame.

This custom-made trap is 4-coiled, baseplated, center swiveled and has an extra heavy-duty oversize pan which provides for a huge kill area. The pan tension is adjustable with a #10 pan bolt. Both heavy jaws are held down by a special trigger system which will keep any animal from flipping up a loose jaw. The dog has a "step-down" notch milled into it that gives you an audible click when you are lowering the pan. We've of course installed our MB Crunch Proof Swivels and heavy duty American made chain. THE MB 650-CAST FOUR COILED

 

With malleable cast jaws Our MB-650-C has the same adjustable pan system, frame, heavy-duty springs, chain & swivels as our original MB-650's. The similarities stop at the jaws however as the MB-650-C sports super-heavy 3/8" thick, 1/4" offset positive locking malleable cast jaws. A real coyote catching machine!

MB-750-Alaskan Wolf & Cougar Coil Spring Trap (Laminated Offset Jaws)

Finally a coil spring trap that will stand up to abuse by either wolf or cougar that you can actually afford to buy.  The MB-750 "Wolf" has the same heavy frame and jaws as the MB-750 "Beaver" plus extra heavy music wire springs and a super heavy-duty wolf swivel with welded rivets coming off the D-ring baseplate.  Offset jaws with 3/16" thick x 1/2" wide flat lamination strips are standard equipment.  As most "Wolfers" prefer to develop their own chain setups, the MB-750 "Wolf" comes with no chain.
